Artist's Biography and Statement

I am a true New Englander, always loving its access to water, mountains and lush nature. After many years of family commitments and employment, settled in N.H. in 1990, finally pursuing my long time

interest and love of art.

I am essentially a self-taught artist, a few lessons here and there: Whitefield, NH, with Stoney Jacobs; with Carol Westcott, a noted Provincetown, MA, artist; studied at The Finishing School on Long

Island, NY; and, most recently, 2 years studying

watercolor with local artist, G. Scamman Driscoll.

I owned, managed and exhibited in "The Studio", an

artist cooperative gallery in Franconia and Sugar Hill

for 5 years.

I spent many years doing commissioned pieces

throughout New England, New York and Florida. They are custom designed "home-life stories" painted on canvas or furniture. I travel to the client,

interview extensively, and do many sketches before

even beginning the painting. These works become

treasured family pieces whether it is a canvas on the

wall or a wonderful coffee table to enjoy every day.

While I am currently exhibiting my paintings, I
